Urban Degchi was founded by Sanjiv Raj and Prashant Gupta in the year 2002.

Sanjiv has over 2 decades of experience in designing the Cuisine and Operating stores for leading F&B Chains in variety of formats from QSR through Family Style to Fine Dine concepts. Post graduate in Management and an Alumni of the prestigious IHM Lucknow, Sanjiv has an eye for detail when it comes to quality and innovation. Previously he has been associated with, Holiday Inn, Hilton, Dominos, American Café, Yo! China, Vishal Mega mart and his last assignment before making this dream come true has worked  as COO of Tabularasa, Chi Kitchen & Bar.

Prashant has over 2 decades of extensive experience in Hospitality, Retail and Customer Care Sector with high levels of expertise in HR, Training, Restaurant operations, Content Development and Learning & Development. Prashant has proved to be an Exemplary performer with proven track record in Customer Service, sales and trainings. He was previously associated with companies like Nirula’s, McDonalds, Reliance Retail, Vishal Mega mart etc in various capacities
